China concludes farm deal with US
CHINA is finally on the road to entry into the World Trade Organisation (WTO) after a US president Bill Clinton met with Chinese premier Zhu Rhongji.
The two mean are close to signing a bilateral market access deal which would lift restrictions on exports of US wheat, citrus, beef and poultry to China.
An announcement on Chinas WTO entry is not expected to be concluded but a statement on the progress of its application is anticipated soon.
