Co-op links up with Body Shop
By FWi staff
HEALTH and beauty chain Body Shop has struck its first supply agreement with a British farming co-operative, reports the Financial Times.
Body Shop founder and co-chairman Anita Roddick said the store would source camomile for hair and skin products from Norfolk Essential Oils.
This arrangement comes under the Body Shop community trade programme, set up to ensure a fair deal for producers and their communities.
While this initiative has been more usually associated with underdeveloped countries, the Body Shop hopes to extend it to many UK suppliers.
