Coffee futures at record low
LARGE coffee supplies pushed Robusta coffee futures to their lowest levels for almost seven years on Tuesday, reports the Financial Times.
The paper says traders believe the decision by Vietnam and the Ivory Coast to hold back stocks amid low prices was also depressing market sentiment.
The benchmark July contract for Robusta in London finished at $945/t on Tuesday.
This was its lowest level since mid-1993.
