Coffee prices at six-year low

ROBUSTA coffee prices fell to its lowest level for six years yesterday with forecasts about the Brazilian crop this year playing a major part in the decline.

The March contract fell to $1085 at one stage, before closing at $1088/t, down $32 on the day.

Traders remain confident about adequate supplies, in spite of the damage to Brazils crop caused by drought.
