THAILAND intends to cut rubber production by 10% in a bid to support prices.
The move by the worlds largest producer was announced at the end of a three-day meeting of producers at Kuala Lumpur. But experts said it was unlikely to have any effect unless Malaysia and Indonesia, the other top producers, followed suit.
Rubber prices have fallen 30% in dollar terms in the past year.
