Computer scheme for herd health

RECORD and report herd health using new software included in NMRs dairy management scheme, Imelpro, says the company.

Based on National Dairy Farm Assurance Scheme standards, software is said to include reports on purchase and use of medicines, treatment and withdrawal periods for milk and meat, and drug stock lists. It complies with NOAH standards for drug stock records, according to NMR.

Individual animal health can also be monitored using reports which detail treatment costs for each animal on a lactation and lifetime basis.

The Imelpro health module costs £90 plus a support fee of £9.50/month. Producers purchasing before March 31 will receive Imelpro movements module and support fee free of charge (01249-462000, fax 01249-462002).
