ConAgra share earnings up
US food and agribusiness ConAgra has reported a 14% improvements in earnings per share, year on year, in the third quarter ahead of restructuring charges.
Cost-cutting and strong performances from packaged and refrigerated foods helped offset low grain prices, reports the Financial Times.
Sales rose 2% in the three months up to 27 February, to US$5.8 billion, and operating profits were up 9% at $468.6m.
