Cotswold field offers glimpse of Rome
AN archaeological investigation of a Cotswold field has unearthed a fascinating glimpse of ancient Rome, reports The Daily Telegraph.
Experts say the site could have supported a community of about 100 in Roman times.
The family which owned the villa found on the site would have owned most of the land around, farmed sheep and cattle and grown corn, archaeologists believe.
