Applicants are being sought for the 20 awards the Nuffield Scholarships Trust has on offer for next year.
The scheme provides the opportunity for scholars to carry out a project overseas, on a topic of their choice.
It is open to farmers, growers, managers and those working in forestry and countryside management, aged between 25 and 40, and covers travel and accommodation expenses.
“Our aim is to allow young entrepreneurs to explore the rural and food chain industries of other countries at first hand,” explains director Steven Bullock.
“We hope this will stimulate them to come up with new ideas and recommendations to help the UK industry move forward in these difficult times.”
- The deadline for applications is 15 January, 2001. Application forms are available on 01825 762928 or via the website www.nuffieldScholar.org.
