Court rules sacked Australian
dockers should be reinstated
AN Australian court ordered Patrick Stevedores to reinstate 1,400 workers it sacked two weeks ago.
The court said the countrys second largest port operator might have engaged in an unlawful conspiracy between the port operator, the Government and the National Farmers Federation when it got rid of the dockers and replaced them with non-union labour.
Patrick later won a 24-hour suspension of the federal court ruling.
