Crown Estate announces record profit

THE Crown Estate, which runs 120,000ha (296,515 acres) of agricultural land, reported an 11% rise in profits to more than £125.8 million for the last financial year.

The Guardian does not detail how its agricultural holdings performed. The estate derives most of its money from its ownership of major urban development.
