Apparently a peculiarly British issue, high troughs and ring feeders can prove a bit of a problem for tub-type mixer-feeders.

To that end a number of manufacturers are offering special high clearance conveyors.

Latest to join the fray are Kverneland, Strautmann and Trioliet, all now offer belt-type web conveyors that can slide out to the left or right and raise to discharge over high feed barriers.

Generally they add between £3000-£4000 to the price of a standard machine.
