Dewar outlines Scots land reform
DONALD DEWAR, Scotlands first minister, has outlined three land reform bills for the first session of the new Scottish parliament.
One of the bills will strengthen the right-to-buy of tenant communities when land comes on the market.
A second bill aims to abolish the ancient system of land tenure, while the third will create Scotlands first national park around Loch Lomond and the Trossochs.
The Scottish Landowners Federation repeated its threat of legal action if plans to strengthen communities right to buy go ahead.
