Dewar puts landowner
in charge of land reform
DONALD DEWAR, Scotlands first minister, has appointed a landowner to be in charge of land reform in the new Scottish assembly.
Mr Dewar completed his 22-strong government team by naming 11 deputy ministers to join the 10 Scottish cabinet ministers.
John Home Robertson, a landowner who is also a Labour MP, is to be deputy minister for fisheries and land reform.
Alasdair Morrison, Labour MSP for the Western Isles, is to be deputy minister for the Highlands and Islands.
