Dip in Scots rivers

SHEEP dip was responsible for the serious pollution of tens of kilometres of Scottish rivers in 1997, according to the Scottish Environment Protection Agency (SEPA).

With the main dipping period about to begin, SEPA has warned farmers to use and dispose of dips in a responsible manner, especially if they use synthetic pyrethroids, which are 100 times more toxic to aquatic life than organophosphate dips. &#42
