Dollar son top Blonde

SUCCESSFUL sire Whistley Dollar produced the top price bull at the Blonde Societys sale at Carlisle when 3100gns was paid for Whistley Nazir.

From the Whistley herd at Bristol, Nazir stood third in his class and was bought by T &#42 Harrison and Sons, Shap, Penrith.

Wiltshire breeder David Knight, a regular consignor to this sale, saw his Doncombe Matthias, by Blackwars Hebrew, make 2900gns to R and S Stainton, Sedbergh, Cumbria.

A double dose of Abricot combined to produce the supreme champion for the Stubbs family from London with Totteridge Nile. He made 2400gns to P &#42 Blades and Sons, Gainsborough, Lincs.

AVERAGES: 23 accepted bulls £1851; two rejected bulls £2100; five cows £854; two heifers £787 and nine maiden heifers £1041. (Harrison and Hetherington).
