Dont stretch strobs…

ADJUVANTS might help stretch strobilurin supplies. But the current view is that it is too early to be sure of the results.

"We did some tests with silicone-based adjuvants last year, but saw no benefit," says Tony Grayburn of kresoxim-methyl maker BASF.

John Metcalfe for Bartholo-mews in Sussex agrees. "It may be possible to eke out limited fungicide with adjuvants, but it is always dangerous when there has been little or no work done on it."

Bob Mills for Banks Agricul-ture thinks some adjuvants may be useful. "But it would be wrong to suggest any in particular. Hope-fully we will have a better picture next year."
