Dont suck air out

LIVESTOCK producers keen to eliminate draughts in housing were urged to avoid extractor fans. "Producers must avoid ventilating buildings by sucking air out. This draws air in through gaps, such as those under doors, causing draughts," said Stephen Bettany of the Farm Electric Centre. Use polythene tube ventilation to suck air in instead.

to pressurise buildings instead, he recommended. That would force stale air out of gaps, so avoiding inward draughts, he claimed.
