Drought ravages Darjeeling tea crop


DARJEELING tea production has been hit by a lack of rain, reports the Financial Times.

Drought has affected the first flush spring tea and is expected to have had some effect on the summer second flush.

Darjeelings monsoon tea, its lowest quality product, has been hit by the collapse of the market in the Soviet Union.
