Drunks mar Paris pro-hunting march

DRUNKENNESS marred a pro-hunting march in Paris at the weekend, where some 150,000 demonstrators protested against European Union legislation designed to stop the shooting of wildfowl.

France is one of the last EU member states to introduce the legislation, which comes into force this month.

The debacle confirmed many Parisians views that their country cousins are uncouth and drunken, writes The Daily Telegraph. A young woman, who held a heart-shaped placard celebrating Valentines Day, was pelted with empty beer cans.
