Dutch potato toppers now on Standen list

STANDEN Reflex is now marketing Baselier potato toppers in addition to the range of cultivators built by the same Holland-based manufacturer.

Two models are on offer – the SD, which has an angled cross conveyor to deliver tops to the side, and the ID, which uses deflectors to guide tops down between the rows and the wheelings.

Standen points out that the ID version is becoming increasingly popular where lower costs and a reduced number of wearing parts are important.

Both models can be operated from front or rear mounting points and the drive line to the rotor is fitted with overrun clutches. Pto input can be 540, 750 or 1000rpm.

Varied row widths and growing configurations are said to be accommodated through use of different flail options – from 30in-36in (75cm- 91cm) rows, and a new divider plate for the ID when working on flat raised beds.

Price of the Baselier ID is from £4850 and £7490 for the SD. &#42
