EC set to approve NI computerised
cattle tracking system today

THE European Commission is today expected to approve Northern Irelands computerised monitoring system as a comprehensive safeguard against BSE – allowing the province to resume beef exports from Monday.

Early customers are likely to be the Dutch. Confidence is rising that the stigma of BSE has already been overcome in France, Italy and Spain.
