Electronic ration system weighs in

KUHN Farm Machinery has introduced a new electronic weighing system for its Euromix range of mixer/feeder wagons which is claimed to make ration compilation easier and more accurate.

The IND 360 ration weighing and display unit receives information from three weigh cells mounted between the box body and the main chassis.

Programmable, up to 15 different ration formulations can be stored with each comprising 15 different ingredients – individual components or batch weights can be displayed in increments of either 1kg or 5kg.

Information is managed on a per cow basis – batch weights are calculated by entering the number of cows to be fed. Once the programme is loaded the display scrolls through ingredients in a preset order until the diet formulation is completed.

Featuring large digits and an ability to be linked to a printer or a radio controlled facility, the IND 360 is now fitted as standard to all new Euromix mixer/feeders for an additional cost of £235. &#42
