Enforce cruelty law to stop trouble in future

FURTHER to Roger Bakers latest imprisonment and another lifetime ban on
keeping animals (Britains cruellest farmer jailed, FWi, 03 November, 1999); had the original ban (probably imposed nearly 30 years ago when Mr Baker was first prosecuted for such offences) been enforced, a lot of animal suffering would have been prevented and other farmers would not have been dragged through the dirt in the eye of the public.

Why dont the authorities enforce judgements
made by the courts?

If I had lame sheep beside a footpath Id get trouble enough, and yet a convicted man is still allowed to take charge of livestock.
