EUcash boost for SAC
THE Scottish Agricultural College has been awarded £246,000 from the EU social fund to support training to rural industries. The college expects a further £547,000 from the fund next year.
The money, from the Objective 4 programme, aims to help workers and companies adapt to industrial change and alterations in production systems.
The college will use the money to support market research and supply relief workers so farm staff can be trained. It will also subsidise existing SAC training programmes *
