Eye-catching BB bull makes 10,500gns

AN IMPRESSIVE son of Belgiums top sire Galopeur filled the eye of the Belgian judge at Carlisle last week.

Mr Jean Paul Houard stood Brookfield Mario at the top of the line to take the supreme championship and later saw the bull top the sale at 10,500gns.

From Stephen Potters herd at Thirsk, this eye-catching blue-and-white bull is out of the show winning cow Highfield Jewel that was female champion at last years Great Yorkshire Show. Buyers were John Nelson and Son, Clapham, Lancaster.

Michele Gardners blue roan Ridge Dean Monarch, made 7200gns. He is by the show winner Ridge Dean Keltic that was sold for 4000gns two years ago in the same sale ring. Buyers were J W Dent and Sons, Barnard Castle. (Harrison and Hetherington)
