F & C call in receivers

NEW Holland is adamant that customers of failed Norfolk-based Farm & Country will continue to be fully supported.

Last week, Farm & Country, which had branches at Dereham, North Walsham, Harleston and Bury St Edmunds, was forced to call in an administrative receiver.

New Holland reports it is working closely with the receiver and has made arrangements for the ongoing supply of parts and continuation of warranty repairs. Workshop facilities will also remain open for repair and servicing operations.

What the future holds however, is not yet clear. Negotiations are currently taking place to establish new dealer facilities in the area which will have the financial strength and trading experience necessary to meet the needs of its customers.

According to New Holland, the purchase of Farm & County would not necessarily mean the New Holland franchise will be awarded to the new owner. &#42
