Farmer ‘killed wife with harrow’

A FARMER murdered his wife by crushing her to death under a power harrow, a court was told on Tuesday (23 February).

Alexander White from Roche, near St Austell, Cornwall is alleged to have have had a mistress and was due to get nearly 300,000 in life insurance, a jury at Truro Crown Court heard.

Prosecutor Paul Dunkells said 49-year-old Mr White had tried to make the incident look like an accident.

Mr White denies murdering his 42-year-old wife Rosie.

The trial continues.
