Farmer wins £24,000 on lottery card
A FARM worker from west Wales has won £24,000 with a lottery scratchcard.
Paul Jones of Cadoxton, Neath, stopped at his local garage on New Years Eve and bought a Littlewoods Millenium Scratchcard.
"I won £7 with my first ticket and bought another three," said Mr Jones. The last card he scratched off showed a win of £2000.
"Fell off tractor"
"I was gob-smacked and went as white as a sheet," he said. But only when Mr Jones returned to work and showed the ticket to his boss Alfyn Rees did he find out that the £2000 was part of a running total of £2000 a month for a year.
"I couldnt believe it. I nearly fell off my tractor when I realised how much I had won," he said. *
