Farmers in the dark on GM feed
A SURVEY of British farmers by Trident Feeds found that a large percentage lacked knowledge about genetically modified (GM) feeds.
The survey, carried out at this years Royal Show, found that 76% of those questioned considered GM as a factor in choosing feed.
But 86% felt they did not enough information about GM feeds to make a sensible choice.
Some 74% felt that abattoirs and milk buyers would inevitably demand GM-free produce and stock from their suppliers.
