Fenmarc buy-out plan
FENMARC, supplier of potatoes, carrots, onions, and parsnips to the multiple retailers, could soon be bought by its directors, subject to approval by farmer shareholders.
The board has agreed for a management buyout proposal to be put forward. A mixed reaction from shareholders is expected, admits director, Stuart Edwards.
The planned move would allow the company to grow without attracting hostile attention, says Mr Edwards. Although no formal interest has been announced, there have been take-over rumours. *
