Firms looking for OFT action

DAIRY companies still hope the Office of Fair Trading will act against Milk Marque, even though it is 19 months since they submitted a formal complaint about the co-ops selling system.

Neil Davidson, director of Northern Foods and president of the Dairy Industry Federation, said the DIF had been called in by the OFT in the past fortnight to go through the details of its complaint against Milk Marque.

He suggested the reason why it had taken the OFT so long to investigate the complaint was that it had had three different directors-general within a 12-month period. &#42
