Front mowers in range

TWO front-mounted mowers join Kuhn Farm Machinerys grassland range for the 1998 season.

In working widths of 2.4m (7.8ft) and 2.8m (9.1ft), the GMD 602F and GMD 702F disc mowers are said to be lower cost alternatives to the existing conditioner-equipped 2.8m model already offered.

Modular in construction, Kuhn says cutting disc maintenance is a simple operation, with cutterbar bearings easily replaced as a result of the unit being constructed in two halves.

Kuhn adds that by mounting the cutting units in a frame, the front three-point linkage can be locked at a pre-set height, with the mower raised in and out of work using a spool valve.

– it also means the same system can be used to adjust ground pressure, to assist the mower in following field contours.

GMD 602F and GMD 607F front-mounted mowers have been added to Kuhns grassland range.
