Further delays to BSE Inquiry

FURTHER delay will take place in the Phillips inquiry into bovine spongiform encephalopathy (BSE).

The delay is because officials at the ministry of agriculture and others involved are trying to protect themselves from possible legal action over their handling of the case, reports the Financial Times.

The report should have been published by the end of last year. Its publication could now take place early next year.
