Gasgun fires into the wind
TWIN-TUBE barrels overcome the problem of some gas guns failing to work when directed into the wind, according to Sutcliffe Electronics.
The design principle is simple: By enclosing the rear of the gun and taking air in through a top tube, pressure is equalised. There is a "balanced flue" and the gas feed should not blow out, whatever the prevailing conditions outside.
Sutcliffe is marketing the twin-tube gun as the Kitgun 2 (from £250), although it can also supply the barrel as an upgrade package for an existing gun.
Main demand is expected to come from exposed, windy areas such as the Fens.
