Gastronomic west

A NEWSPAPER and TV campaign hopes local food will turn the West Country into a gastronomic region to rival Brittany and Tuscany.

The South West Regional Development Agency campaign, backed by Prince Charles, was launched in the Western Morning News (WMN) and on Carlton Westcountry TV on Thu (Nov 29).

WMN editor Barrie Williams said: "Every person in the south-west region can make a difference by insisting on local produce." &#42
