MANUALLY opening and closing farm gates can be a nuisance at busy times of the year – especially when making frequent trips with the tractor and trailer.

To save the time and hassle, WP Associates has invented an automatic gate opening system that can be activated by remote control from the convenience of a car or tractor.

Powered by a 12 volt battery or mains supply, the Lester Radio Gate Control System is designed to open and shut gates up to 5m wide.

The device is mounted on two wooden stakes with the connecting rod end bolted to one of gate bars. Price is £300 (01625-590779).
