Germanys top show relocates to Hanover

GERMAN reunification has forced the countrys equivalent of the Royal Show to relocate to Hanover.

The German Agricultural Society (DLG) will hold Agritech-nica 95 at Hanovers Fairgrounds. The city, close to the border with the former East Germany, was chosen in preference to Frankfurt, home to the previous five shows.

One of Europes largest farming shows, Agritechnica will retain its focus on farm machinery. Germany is the largest market for equipment and tractors in Europe, with an industry worth about £2.8bn.

This years event will also feature the latest technology for arable and livestock farmers. Special emphasis will be placed on cultivations for combineable and industrial crops and on milking technology.

More than 1000 exhibitors from over 30 countries will take part in this years show from Nov 14-18. &#42
