Greenpeace victory over GM ship
GREENPEACE protesters have claimed to have effectively stopped a ship carrying genetically modified soya from docking in Liverpool.
The Times reports that police boarded the bulk carrier the Ioclos Grace on Sunday (27 February) and arrested five protesters from the environmental group.
All five were released on police bail until 21 March.
Afterwards the ship, carrying 60,000 tonnes on soya, headed back to sea.
The crew would not say its destination.
Greenpeace expects the ship to try to dock again and says it will target the docks if it reappears.
