Greenspan warns on imports
ALAN GREENSPAN, the chairman of the US Federal Reserve, warned that the American agriculture is at risk from low-priced imports.
He said US farm exports were forecast to fall to $49 billion (£30bn) this year due to lower sales to all major markets except Mexico.
He also pointed out that the price of soya beans had fallen to its lowest in 23 years.
