right on track

A SYSTEM designed to help tractor drivers drive in a straight line is now being marketed by AgriAid. Called the EyeSite, it comprises two components – a printed screen which is stuck to the inside of the windscreen, and a magnetically-mounted frame on the bonnet.

When the tractor driver focuses his eyes on a fixed distant object, the screen splits optically into two. Keeping the chosen object in the centre column of the screen ensures a straight course is being taken.

AgriAid maintains the system can be used on flat or undulating fields – and the end of the field need not be visible. Price of the EyeSite is £90. &#42
