Heavy post for ACCS

APPLICATIONS to join the Assured Combinable Crops Scheme were running at 30-40 a day last week, and the initiatives administrator, UKFQC, reports a heavy post at the start of this week.

"They are coming from right across the country," says scheme manager Bill Young.

Registration requests are mainly from the eastern counties although there has also been a good response from northern growers, he says, and remains confident of having at least 4000 growers signed up by the end of February. &#42
