High dioxin levels in French dairy products

FRENCH newspaper Le Monde reports disturbing levels of dioxin have
been found in Brie, Camembert and butter from France, according to statistics
leaked from the French agriculture ministry.

Pas-de-Calais is one of the worst-affected milk-producing areas because of atmospheric pollution from surrounding
industry. The levels exceeded Council of Europe recommendations.
