High prices at Three Harrys

THE "Three Harrys" sale of Suffolk sheep – drawn from the Wells, Kinmundy and Castlewellan flocks – sold to 10,000gns for a shearling gimmer.

Aberdeenshire breeders Harry Sleigh and Son (Wells) and Harry Emslie (Kinmundy) joined Harry Stewart (Castlewellan) from Co Down in a fixture at Carlisle where the top call was for a Muiresk Maverick sired shearling from Kinmundy.

Unbeaten on the summer show circuit, she is out of a ewe by Cairness Lucky Jim and was in-lamb to the 5500gns Strathlisla Schmeichel. The ewe heads for Co Meath to join Tom Baileys Glenho flock.

Kinmundys nine ewes and 19 shearlings averaged £279 and £1178 respectively. &#42
