Holim leads rest in Dutch listings

TOP of the latest Dutch dairy sire listings is newcomer Holim Boudewijn, who is also the fourth highest available Holstein sire in the UK ranked on ITEM index (see table).

A Bell Gene son out of a Sunny Boy dam and sister to Dutch bull Holim Tornedo, this calving ease sire boasts a UK proof at 80% reliability of 856kg milk, 47kg (+0.19%) fat, 31kg (+0.06%) protein, £131 PIN and £128 ITEM.

Also of interest from Holland and soon to be available in the UK are two new Mascot sons. Vero Piramide, in the top 50 UK available bulls, is out of a Cleitus, and has a positive protein deviation at 0.02%, with £114 PIN and £118 ITEM. Piramide has a favourable cell count score of -10 and Dutch type proof of 112. Another Mascot, but out of a Blackstar dam, is Chartoise Herby, who has £106 PIN and £112 ITEM and has a Dutch type score of 113. &#42
