Holstein cattle go

BAWDESWELL Farms near Norwich, Norfolk, moved their entire herd of 180 pedigree Holsteins to Wright Manleys Beeston Castle Market in Cheshire, where prices reached 835gns for a fifth calver by Mapel Wood Tiger Cat.

The herd, owned by David Gurney, had been turned out to grass in traditional manner every day of the year and all youngstock were outwintered.

Averages: 74 cows and calved heifers £597 and 76 recently calved and maiden heifers £441 (Wright Manley). &#42
