HONDAs largest and most powerful ATV to date is to be available in the UK.
The model comes in two versions, the TRX450 and TRX450ES, both of which use a new transversely mounted 432cc four-stroke petrol engine, said to be 13% more powerful than the unit fitted in the TRX400.
On both models, the transmission is Hondas traditional layout of five forward, one reverse, with a conventional foot-operated gear shift on the TRX450. The TRX450ES is fitted with a new thumb operated electronic gearshift which allows the operator to change gear up or down simply by pushing one of two handlebar-mounted buttons.
Handlebar-mounted electronic information displays are also fitted on both models. These show speed, distance covered, trip distance and hours worked. The ES display also shows which gear has been selected.
Both versions of the TRX450 will be available later this year at prices which are yet to be confirmed.
