SPALDINGS has introduced a range of Airspears designed to enable rapid cooling of hot spots within grain stores.

The Airspears, which measure 2.10m (7ft) long and 10cm (4in) in diameter, are screwed into grain heaps by way of an auger flight and handle.

Available with fans which can deliver 200cu ft/min to 400cu ft/min airflows, the Airspear range is supplied with a digital temperature gauge and probe to identify hotspots.

The range is also designed to work in stores with underfloor drying systems, so hot spots can be eliminated in case of a blocked duct or vent. Prices for the Airspears are £72, with the fans ranging from £160 to £287. (01522-500600)
