Damage to health caused by hand arm vibration is one of the main platforms in the latest phase of the HSEs biggest ever health campaign, "Good health is good business", which argues that if the humanitarian arguments for managing health are not enough, then economic ones are unanswerable.
One of the campaigns actions to help employers tackle the risk of vibration white finger is a video on the management of hand arm vibration called Hard to Handle available from the HSE, price £49.50.
Other measures include visits by HSE inspectors to employers in relevant sectors, free leaflets and a compendium of 50 case studies, Vibration Solutions, which show how hand and arm vibration problems have been tackled. *
