IAHreport reveals new developments
CHANGES in the electrical conductivity of milk indicating the presence of mastitis three milkings before the herdsman is able to do so and new faster-acting vaccines against foot-and-mouth disease are just two of many developments described in the 1994 report of the Institute for Animal Health.
The report also highlights the Institutes £10m rebuilding programme at Pirbright to provide facilities needed to meet the challenge of diseases like foot-and-mouth into the 21st century.
Copies of the report can be obtained from the Institute of Animal Health, Compton, Newbury, Berks RG20 7NN. *
